Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is "Brede"? Pronounced [Bri:d]

A: South of London, north of Hastings, approx. 8 miles from the coast.

Q: How do I get from London to Brede?

A: • M25 - A21 direction Hastings.
• Before Hastings turn left on the A28 direction Ashford (Tenterden/Northiam).
• Go through Westfield down to River Brede up the hill and “Brede Court” training center is on right hand side - look for sign, go past our entrance, past the “Red Lion Pub” and turn round where
the road forms a triangle in “Stubb Lane”, come back on yourself as the best approach is coming from the North:
• Coming from Ashford or Northiam on the A28, “Brede Court” is situated 3 houses below
the “Red Lion Pub” on your left. Please slow down when you see the pub on your left, as our
entrance (before the “Brede Court”-sign) is only a few yards from there, also on the left.

Q: How do I get from Dover to Brede?

A: This is the fastest and easiest way from Dover to us:
From Dover via M20 take exit 10 (not before!!!!) then look for sign 'Hastings', this will take you along the A2070 past Hamstreet, past Brookland - A259 to Rye, then look for the sign of Battle - B2089 - and in Broak Oak turn left onto the A28 direction Hastings and follow the instructions above.

Q: I am allergic to ... I am a vegetarian ... I am a diabetic ... I don’t like alcohol... I don’t like lamb ... I don’t like ...

A: Please let us know before the course and we will try to cater for your needs.

Q: I have heard there is a pub in the walking distance. Is it any good?

A: Yes, the "Red Lion" is a typical ‘old-style’ village pub with the old games like snooker or pool billards. The pub is still the centre of social gatherings in England.

The Red Lion Inn is in the "Good Pub Guide 2011".

The Red Lion is a family run 15th Century Freehouse serving an interesting range of freshly cooked dishes. The menu features local fish from Hastings & Rye, meat from Bexhill, locally sourced vegetables and wild mushrooms from Brede High Woods. Real Ales from independent family brewers.
