The level of English required to attend the course is approximately 7-9 years school English ( to “Abitur” or SIEMENS level 5) and all participants must complete a test to ensure that their level is appropriate for the course.

Contents:

Using training materials originally designed for the training of American and British business people - the student gains a practical insight into the preparation and 'win/win’- -negotiations face to face.

• deciding fall back position

• identifying tradeables

• setting the worst and best limits

• using the 'what if' approach

negotiation phases:

• getting the issues on the table

• asking questions

• clarifications

• trading concessions

• using the 'what if' approach

Clearly cultural differences and specific language skills are also covered.

A role game runs the whole length of the course. Part of the course includes input from guest speakers (experienced international business men/women).

This 8-day-course follows on from the NTE1 and concentrates on the art of win/win’-negotiation.
